The site itself was developed by Spencer Baer, and content was created by Elizabeth Manning. Manning is a graduate student in a one-year community journalism program at the University of Alabama. Instead of a thesis, students in the program are required to create a website that works to solve a community issue.
Ergo, the development of this site.
Manning studied anthropology and journalism as an undergraduate at UA, and has always been interested in the way people eat, how they eat it, and where it is sourced from. Additionally while taking anthropology classes at UA, Manning focused on eating and issues with access to healthy food options. Feel free to email Manning with any questions, or if you are working on a project similar to this and would like to be linked on this site.
